John Schrock has worked designing and working with metal his entire life. He has lived in Akron, NY since he was in 2nd grade and has a passion for design and bringing ideas to life. He resides in Akron with his wife, Molly and two children, Alex (11th grade) and Addie (9th grade)

In 2014 John started working out of his garage creating metal art for sale through

Esty and various local art shows.

He has expanded his artistic talents to include Vinyl Record Art (which he sells at Christmas in the Country every year in Hamburg, NY), Wood, Custom Engraving of tumblers, glasses, trophies and more and recently expanded in providing custom Akron apparel to include Akron Varsity Jackets and other apparel with his embroidery and digital graphics printer.

SMFX is a one stop shop for all things custom, if you can dream it, John can bring your idea to life. Since 2019, John had dreamed of owning a storefront in the village of Akron and our search began, finally in April of 2021 we rented a small storefront and in November of 2021 took permanent residence and purchased 83 Main Street. John prides himself that everything in his store has been made or customized by him.
