Margie Wood, Co-Treasure Akron Chamber of Commerce

With 40+ years of experience in the financial field, I now focus on helping
small businesses with all their bookkeeping needs!

I started out with a large auto parts chain and soon moved up to the Assistant
Regional Bookkeeper position. The new role allowed me to assist and train
bookkeepers in the various locations within the company.  After several years with
the company, I took some quality time off to focus on my family.

Eventually, I became eager to rejoin my career. I was able to provide bookkeeping services again, this time for a real estate and brokerage company located in Buffalo, N.Y.
Shortly after, the company merged with a well-known mortgage company
headquartered in NYC. As a team, we moved to a brand-new location in Getzville,
N.Y., where I was promoted to wholesale branch manager and remained with them
for years until they closed in 2005.

After a little soul searching and brainstorming on what to do with my career, I
decided to start my own small business.  I discovered the need for a financial liaison
for small businesses who needed bookkeeping and accounting services for only a
few hours per month, without the cost of hiring a full or part-time bookkeeper.

I have been working with WNY small businesses since 2012 and would love to
meet with you.  Current clients are relieved that they can focus on their business and
not worry about all the bookkeeping tasks to do.
